About

Story
I live in Lonato del Garda, on Lake Garda, and I head up to the mountains whenever I can. Most of my photos come from there: jumps in the snowpark, backcountry days, hikes with fog rising from the valley. Now and then I switch genre and go trackside to watch the bikes, which is a whole different story.
I never went to photography school. I started by taking a camera to the places I was already going to snowboard, and I haven't stopped since.
Approach
When I get to a new spot I walk around a bit before I take the camera out. I check where the light comes from, where they'll jump, which way the bike will come through. Then I pick a spot and wait. Lots of waiting, then it's over in a second.
I like photos that show what the day was like: the cold, the fog, the snow still hanging in the air after a jump.
